Bill Kennelly's Story of Hypertext
What is a Node?
A node is an integrated and self-sufficient unit of information. A node is a component part of a complete hypertext document. Many people think of a node as a web page, once you link to another page, you go to a new node - a page can be a node. This is as accurate as you want it to be, Nelson for example in his Xanadu project, allows for nodes the size of books.
