The World Wide Web
The World Wide Web is the name given to the millions of pages of information that are interconnected via the internet. The name probably comes from the first browser software, called, "WorldWideWeb" which was programmed by Tim Berners-Lee, who also implemented the first World Wide Web server software, called "httpd"
